The point here is not RVL so much as to glean where we can and to remember that we are no less Christian as Gentiles nor any more Christian by immersing ourselves into a Jewish flavoring of our faith. For some this is meaningful but given those whom I knew who were leading and teaching this effort I became greatly unenthused and quite wary of the deeper significance of their intentional interpretations of Scripture. I would, howev...I agree with most of what you say. I would, however, throw Ray VanderLaan out with the bathwater. So much of what he teaches is clearly contradicted by a plain reading of scripture. Scripture is the authority, and scripture interprets scripture.
